We are delighted to share news of the most recent update to Limit Login Attempts Reloaded. This release includes a minor security patch and enhancements to the interface.

Release 2.25.27

  • Improved how shortcode href attribute is escaped.
  • New date formatting on logs page.
  • Fixed top menu links on front end.
  • Badge added to top menu.

Security Improvements

To better secure the plugin, we improved the way the shortcode href attribute is escaped. Shortcodes are typically used in WordPress and other content management systems to embed dynamic content or functionality into posts or pages. In this context, "escaping" refers to the practice of securing and rendering user inputs properly to prevent any potential security vulnerabilities, such as cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. The "href" attribute is commonly used in HTML to define hyperlinks.

Interface Improvements & Fixes

We made a handful of updates to improve the usability and fix some minor bugs.

  • Date Formatting on Logs Page: Dates on the logs page are now formatted based on the site's preferences.
  • Top Menu Links on Front-End (fixed): The top menu had broken links when viewing at the site from its front-end.

  • Badge Added To Top Menu: We added a badge to the top menu similar to the one we had on the left menu, and it can be turned of and on using the same setting option.

Upgrade to the latest version of Limit Login Attempts Reloaded today, and unlock a new level of security prowess for your WordPress-powered website. Your digital fortress deserves nothing less.
